Education for a Better World

Accommodation

Loring Hall on campus has up to 384 single ensuite bedrooms in apartments of 6-8 bedrooms with kitchen/lounge. Surrey House is made up of The Annexe-48 ensuite single bedrooms in 6 apartments of 8 bedrooms and The Old House-31 ensuite bedrooms (9 studios and 22 single bedrooms). Surrey House a 5 min walk from campus.  

Facilities

Sports: Tennis courts and a sports field on site. On site gym available for group leaders.(Entrol plus a small fee of £21). Social spaces: All flats in the have a shared kitchen/lounge. Discos,karaoke and Talent Shows are held in purpose-built nightclub/bar in the Student Union. There is a cinema on the ground floor of Richard Hoggart building.

Meals

Breakfast: 07:00-08:45 Toast, cereal, pastry, yogurt, fruit. Cooked breakfast once a week. Lunch: 12:30-13:45 Pasta, meat or vegetarian main course with potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert. Dinner: 18:00-20:00 Meat or vegetarian main course with potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert.

Security

There is 24 hour security. No safes in the bedrooms. The Center Manager has a safe in their office, for Group Leaders to store money/passports securely. An access fob, a key and lanyard are supplied to students. A replacement key is £18 and a replacement is£10. A replacement lanyard is £2. Damager deposits of £20 or £30 will be collected.

Local Transport

Rail: A train from New Cross Gate to London Bridge is a 10min journey. Also available is the overground rail from New Cross Station. Bus: 1777 to Greenwich, 172 to St Pauls, 171 to Holborn, 453 to Marylebone (via Oxford Circus), 343 or 21 to London Bridge.

Academics

Average studens per class: 16 English levels: Elementary – proficiency (programme can be adjusted to lower Englisch levels) Additional qualifications available: Trinity GESE exam and AlternanzaScuolaLavoroprogramme.

Computer Access

Wi-Fi internet is available across campus including in halls of residences. Pklease refer to your Centre Manager for Wi-Fi access codes.
